Table Drum, Large Zuni Painted

Hand-painted and hand-made one-of-a-kind Native American Zuni drum stands at at 22 inches tall, and the head is in the shape of an octagon.  Each side is eight inches, for a total  of 19.5 inches across. The drum head is made out of stretched rawhide with a kachina dancer painted on the drum head in acrylic paint. This beautiful piece comes with it's own circular piece of glass that acts as a table top when place on the drum head.

Kachina dancer's are a very special part of the Hopi/Zuni Pueblo People's religion; the dancers that wear the kachina costumes are said to be either channeling or at least in the presence of the specific Hopi/Zuni ancestor that the dancer is impersonating.
