Historically Native Americans used sweetgrass to bring in positive energies and prevent negative energies. The smoke-smudging sweetgrass is used for purification and blessings. It was known as a cure all. Used to treat colds, coughs, sore throats and fever. Sweetgrass was also chewed to enhance endurance.
